NY Times: McCain Bids for GOP Votes in California
"McCain still has work to do among Asian-Americans disappointed that he has referred to his Vietnamese captors as 'gooks.' McCain has apologized for offending anyone but says his usual names for the guards who beat him during 5 1/2 years of captivity are even less fit for public conversation."
