Candyland
by Shannon Christen A smiling face and mocha hands unite upon the rug that rests upon a whirly swirl of vanilla-fudge Caramel smoothe and sickly sweet he stains her berry lips Heavy cream and a yound girl's dream watch it as it slips down her legs of sugar cane slowly as it drips A cutie-pie and devil's food lay upon the bed that rests around a candy dream of maple sugar spread Sticky bees and honey pure he stings her taffy skin Peppermint sticks and satisfied licks watch it wearing thin in her arms of marshmallow clouds Willy Wonka would be so proud! Vanilla eyes and a chocolate surprise spread rich upon the couch that rests upon a strawberry hill of fizzy-lifting dreams Butterscotch drops and sweet lollipops he drinks her coconut cream watch it as it flows down his hard rock candy stream Once melting in her mouth and not in her hands ends in a belly-ache from the chewy licorice strands and on the little couch rests her chocolatey surprise A tiny Hershey's kiss laid out before her eyes She sits upon the couch of cotton candy bliss and marvels in the taste of the kiss she surely missed |
